PopCorn Movie Portal (PCMP)

PopCorn Movie Portal is a nice tool able to give a better look over the standard PopCorn A-100 (or any Syabas NMT) Video browser.

What you need:

The Popcorn Hour A-100 or any other Syabas NMT product
Internal HD (this is mandatory)
A PC movie organizer calld "Extreme Movie Manager"


From this	To this

The tool is able to generate a bunch of Html pages contining all the information of the movies stored (or linked) in the PopCorn.

"eXtreme Movie Manager"

This tool require that you organize all the PopCorn movies with "eXtreme Movie Manager" (XMM).

You can download it from http://www.binaryworks.it/extrememoviemanager/ the registered version costs only € 10

The important feature is that it can automatically search and index all the movies from the network. No manual enter the name end location of the movie.

PCMP Features

You can design your own template. (1 template already present)
The "Filter pages" manages most of the IMDB information like Genre, Year, Rating
The "Detail pages" manages most of the XMM media information like Quality and Media
High quality Thumbnail rescale
Support Popcorn (or any Syabas NMT) internal HD, external USB (more than one), Network share (more then one)

PCMP Istructions

Download and install "Extreme Movie Manager"
Learn how to use it. The shareware licence allow you to add 50 movies.
Let EMM scan:
- your network share for the PopCorn internal HardDisk.
- You can also scan external USB attached HD (first to the PC then to the PopCorn)
- And finally let EMM scan all the network shares you want for NAS and PC
Download and install my little tool
Configure PopCornMoviePortal.INI according to your needs (example provided)
Launch it and you will see in the "Export" dir all the generated Html Pages
The result of the elaboration is stored in the Export dir (and all the subdirs). The content of the Export dir have to be copied in the PopCorn HD in the "share" directory
Index.htm is shown at the boot of the popcorn!

New Feature: Ability to specify the Thumb height size from 50 to 500 pixel. The width is automatically calculated to be in scale.
New feature: (experimental) Actor Html pages generated (but not yet linked)
Change: To not overload the exported directory all the "details" and "actors" pages are moved to specific directories.
Fix: Error in the Play link.
Fix: All the Html extension are now "htm" and not "html". So the "Index.htm" file in the "Share" directory is shown at the PopCorn boot!
